I wake up at least once a night to check on Jenna, even though she is now sleeping through the night (way to go baby girl!). Anyway, I'll look over at her, and suddenly my heart drops! I have this unending fear of losing her, it won't go away. The night before last, Dereck had the window fan on and I woke up to check her, to find her cheeks ice cold. I spazzed out, I SERIOUSLY thought she had passed away. One other night, when I woke up, she was sleeping so soundly, and looked so much like Taylor, SIDS was the first that that went through my mind. It's driving me crazy. How do I not worry so much? I feel like a paranoid fool. But I do keep thinking...what if...
how to ease my fears? I have to switch her to the crib/nursery soon. I am thinking I'll be setting up the pack n' play (play pen) in my room instead.  I couldn't bear to lose her....

I think your fears are only natural and i honestly dont know how you stop them.

you can buy them baby monitors with cameras attached so you could check on her without waking her and reasure yourself and go back to sleep?

maybe you should speak to someone and find out if there is a support group or maybe some of the other mums on here who have been through the same could offer you some advice.

Like Cheryl said it is only natural that you have these fears.  I still check on my daughter now and she is 3 1/2.  Maybe speak to your doctor or health visitor and maybe they can put you in touch with you someon who you can talk to.

I know just how real your fears are, amy is sleeping through the night as well and it frightens the life out of me.

Its so so difficult not to be scared. the only thing i can do to ease my fears is to check on her as often as i need to. It wont do her any harm and it goes some way to relieving my anxieties
