im so down today ****l/c mentioned****

went to see millie today on a high i was  after ger told me the news about her ect when i got there she lying diagonallly in her incubator spoke to the nurse they had to stop her feeds as she has become intolerent to my milk and ger got it wrong she only on 3.5ml an hour nod 5.0ml i got very upset to say the least , they are hoping as she hadnt had a dirty nappy since she was born 10 days ago and she went last night it might of knocking her tummy out a bit , god i am so worried what if she cant drink milk at all panick stations here ,and to make matters worse the nurse asked me do i know any one who knits hats for her i know no one , so she told me go to smyths toy store and buy the baby born clothes the only one i could see that would fit her was on a doll and it cost me 18 euro , expensive hat lol , and i couldnt come home with out something for the eldest kids , then when i got home i had the most beautifulest parcel to open a card for mille (thank you tess) and beautiful verse for david and pics , i sobbed even more , god i wish she was home with me so i wouldnt be this stressed , she was in a very distressed state today and she calmed down when i held her , i think its the hormones too that has me so down , expressing milk and bringing it in to the hospital every day , its taking its toll on me , what am i goin to be like when ger is back in work on wednesday a right state

Pauline you must be exausted and I'm not surprised everything is taking it's toll on you.  Hoping it's a better day to come and little Millie just grows from strength to strength.  Was lovely to hear having you hold her comforted her.  I don't quite know what to say except we are all here for you, praying and wishing Millie home soon with you.  Think you're amazing.

have you contacted the prem baby charities as they can often help you out with prem clothes, i know you can get them online but they are expensive!

Pauline there are many websites that do clothes specifically for small preemies. I also have a knitted hat spare that i'd happily send you if you give me your address.

Hope Millie picks up again soon. Unfortunately the journey through scbu is with ups and downs and thinks can change from one hour to the next. Hopefully now she's opened her bowels things will start to improve again.

I am so sorry Millie is not wanting her milk but im the hospital have many ideas to help her start feeding again.

Livvy had a false start too and  soon loved her milk so try not to worry.

Like everyone says to you scbu really is a rollercoaster ride and just when you could do with everything been settled.

You can get free premature knitting patterns online so i suggest you buy some wool and get knitting.

only just seen your post but just wanted to wish you and Millie well, hopefully by now she is improving greatly,
My twins spent 6 months in neonates last year so I can really understand how you are feeling,

I have alot of prem (sorry not sure if that was the case) and tiny baby bits from Erin my daughter and I would love them to go to a good home
I can donate them to my local scbu but would love someone to benefit individually like yourself , they are all in great condition and there is several little hats in there too .

More then happy to post them to  you if they will come in helpful ,
