Ok so i ordered Livvys headstone about middle of May and was told it would be 4 weeks.

about 6 weeks later i phoned to say i had heard nothing where i was told it would be at least another 8 weeks as they were still waiting for permission from the cemetry, i was fine with this as there was no rush and i had thought 4 weeks was very quick.

I have put off ringing them again as i didnt want to make them do a rush job as i want it to be just right but it has now been 3 months since i ordered it and so i today i called in to the shop and was told that tomorrow the shop closes and the lady had only been told today, she was crying so i knew she was telling the truth.

I have phoned the sheffield branch where the head office and place they make them is and she said she would find out what stage we were at and ring me back. I waited a couple of hours and rang again where i was told the person she needed to speak to was out fitting a stone and wouldnt get back until 5pm so she would ring then but now it is 7.30pm and no phone call, obviously they have gone home now.

I am really worried that they are some dodgy firm although they looked professional and had a nice brochure etc and we paid in full as we had saved up the money.

What will i do if they are either dodgy or shutting down completely (gone bust) as i wont get the stone or money back and then i wont be able to afford to get Livvy a stone, just the thought of it is making me so upset and i just dont know what to do.

love cheryl xx  kis

hopefully they'll tell you that your stone will just be delivered to a different one of their shops perhaps?
phone them first thing and take no messing from them!

Try not to worry until you know there is something to worry about

There customer service sounds rubbish but that doesnt mean they are dodgy

I had a simular problem ,we had paid in ful and i really wanted it in place by Xmas day so it looked nice to take the kids down ,  on the run up i was ringing every other day , and always got same answer he's out at moment , I worried like mad then i got call to say it would be fitted on tuesday so i visited on the monday to tidy and make sure everything was ok and got a shock it was already in place, it was worth the wait.

not an expert but they should have insurance to cover mishaps ,  and if not and they were to go bust ,you could seek compo through citzins advise, something called public liability I think, I sure it will be fine anyway ,

They just might be busy , which in a way is good because it shows they must be good at the work .

I would ring in morning and say your concerned and this is adding to your stress at a very emotional time , and it is hopefully an over sight that you didn't get your call but  as the  deal with people at a emotional time they should consider the effect this has had .

hopefully it will be sorted soon sweetie

Not the hassle you need whatsoever-i hate that your being messed around over something so precious.
We were given so many dates for Ben's headstone-and he promised so many times to have it done for christmas. I just wished they would have been honest from the start-i didn't care how long it took as i wanted it to be right-but just wished they'd have been more truthful with the date it would be finished for.

I'm really hoping you get sorted x
