Our Beautiful Daisy

WWW
« on: August 24, 2008, 07:59:46 PM »

I've decided to go shopping for Daisy on Thursday.  I really want to make her garden look pretty.  Paul and I origionally decided to let it be natural and planted lots of wild flowers because it's a little country church and she is resting right by the hedgerow and a little tree.  But at times it can get a bit overgrown and so we've decided we want to give her more.

I'm not sure what, I thought about a little fenced edging and planting bulbs that will spring up at different times of the year.  Did want to plant her daisies but it's can get shady there so they won't grow well.  I have a few ideas but wondered if anyone might be able to give me any more?

Would be a great help, many thanks

love Ali

Ali,

I have lots of different ornaments, wind chimes and solar lights on Elliott's bed. I also put miniature rose plants on. His bed is edged with logs and I have purple/bluey stones in it. At the front of the logs I have planted snowdrops which come up Feb around the time of his birthday and then March/ April time I have miniature daffs and iris's which look beautiful, below is a photo of Elliott's bed.

elliott's bed is lovely hun!

i would say plant flowers that bloom, as on elliotts bed, at different times of the year, so you nearly always have some flowers opening.

windmills are nice, and you can get brightly coloured ones that would be lovely spinning round in the wind!
i am sure that, whatever you decide on, daisy will love it!

i think planting flowers that bloom at different time of the year is a lovely idea ,

in ethan's garden we also used different colours stones , we have a coloured circle for each of my children which makes it look bright even when not many flowers there

 Hi Ali,

we not got to much down at the crematium at the minute as we are waiting for Elise's headstone to be fitted but before we orderd this we had lots of little ornaments and things. My favourites was her wind chimes, they remind me she is near whenever i hear them. I like the thought of planting different plants which bloom a different times of year though.

I am sure Daisey will love whatever her mummy gets her.  kis
