I worte this for Jakes birthday, I was going to put it on his grave but I have changed my mind. not sure why. It just doesnt feel right.
Thought I would share it with all of you anyway
Happy Birthday Jake,
I mean that with all of my heart.
As you deserve so much happiness
Although we are apart.
3 long years in heaven,
You were never meant to leave,
I should be making you a cake
Not left alone to grieve
I will go to bed this evening,
I will see your smiling eyes,
And we will share a moment,
Although my heart still cries.
How I long to hold you
And show what you mean to me.
But that just cannot happen
Until from this body I am free.
Your short time here was precious,
Although you broke my heart.
I wish that I could change it
But I wouldnt know where to start.
Such a tiny little baby,
But you have made me whole
Although with eyes I can not see you
I can with my heart and soul
So sweet dreams little man
On this, your special day.
Please know that mummy loves you
So much more than I can say
Happy Birthday Jake. Love and cuddles from Mummy, Daddy, Josh and Amy-May
Missing you more each day
