Sound asleep in lullabies dreams

WWW
« on: November 22, 2008, 12:32:49 PM »

I was out walking with my son Joel (7) last night, it was dark and was such a clear night there were loads of stars  Joel looked up and asked which star was Brett to which I replied 'the brightest one sweetheart' he looked up and said 'mummy there are a lot of stars are they all babies who have died?' I said yes as a tear pricked my eyes. He then said 'well it's very sad that Brett and all the other babies have died but at least Brett has lots of friends to play with. I thought this was so sad yet very sweet coming from the innocence of a child.

Just thought I'd share with you all  kis

Yes you're right - its sad, but very sweet for him to think of something like this.

It reminds me of something that comforted me - the reason stars twinkle is because angels dance and play in front of them!  Such a nice thought dont you think?

I love the innocence of children.

Obviously Josh is too young to come out with anything profound  But my nephew is six and quite often says things that make me wish I could see life and even death through a childs eyes.
