My Little Man Ben 10/05/07-04/06/07

« on: November 26, 2009, 02:57:59 PM »

my daughters get cast as 'angels'.

I don't want to deprive them-most young girls want to be the angel in the nativity.

But it's both of them.

I can be brave, but this time next year-don't think i could handle 'holly the angel'

Little things, why can they be so hard.

Im sure Ben will be watching both his sisters with pride, And holly as well when the time comes.

Not really sure what else to say. I know nothing will make it any easier

isn't it horrible how "angels" now mean so much more to us.
when dyfan was first born dan's grandmother bought him some little booties with "grandmother's little angel" on them.  broke my heart to take them from her.
your daughters will look beautiful Kim and ben will be one very proud brother,

My little un is an angel too,i like to think its just because they are the well behaved children in the class and therefore are cast as Angels to be honest it doesnt make me sad at all it makes me happy to think that maybe her Angel sister may have had a part in her cast too?

dont think i could handle it if katie-anne was cast as an angel in future plays at school. i think i would have to say something and get her a different part.

Hmmmm..............mine have never been angels - hope that doesnt mean they arent well behaved!!  Apparently ds is one of the town people this year.

I understand seeing children as angels is upsetting.  I was watching a programme a couple of weeks ago and the mum said her newborn baby girl was sleeping peacefully and looked just like an angel.  I wanted to scream "no she doesnt!"

Kim I know what you mean ,

Erin has been going to nursery since september and in this years nativity play she has been cast   as   yep you guessed it an angel ....

when her key worker passed me the  letter I think she was expecting me to be pleased they had obviously thought I would love it they , know all about Ethan too .

you know me ,  make a joke to hide my pain,  so I just said   '' you'll be investigated for false advertising calling erin an angel ''

I have accepted  it now but  lets see what happens  on monday 14th at 10.30  , the nursery also have been kind enough to say  there is no limit to the amount of people who can come to watch erin . think on the last count there is 17 of us going to watch just her .

she'll probably scream the  whole time and  throw her glasses and punch the kid next to her ............    I think erin is so naughty just to prove  it's just her  ''budda''( brother)  who is the angel .

I think erin would have been better cast as the christmas pudding  personally  but the nursery did say one of the reasons they cast erin as an  angel is because in their  own version  of the xmas play , she will be the last one to walk on the stage  , which means she doesn't have to stand still in front of lots of peole fo  r  long ...something she doesn't do well so  maybe it will be ok xxxx

thanks for the replys. Thing is-i don't even like to think of ben with angel wings, it's just the way i've had to explain it to the girls. God, hollys nativity isn't even until next year! But that will be hard with ben not being in it when he should, then if shes cast as an angel. Lucy, who's the angel this year, has best friends that are boy/girl twins, that will hurt seeing them if they've been 'gimmacking' like mary and joseph. I'm just doing a 'let it out rather than keep it in' post now. So thankful to have somewhere to do that.

I do understand how you feel, Chlo?? was cast as an angel a couple of years ago - the same year I lost Tyler. My heart sank.

She was Mary last year, but this year to her disappointment she's ............ a sheep
