Hi Girls. Just a update on how my appointment went on the 1st november at care nottingham, My appointment was inregards to all my recurrent missed miscarriages, & immune natural killer cells that i tested positive for in march this year.
My appointment went Great, He said 1 of the reasons for all my losses has to be my Thyroid, Its way above normal, He likes it under 2. He said no wonder i lost the twins with a thyroid of 9.8, in 2008.
Dr said he is soo angry as to why the hospital i was under never done sod all about it at the time.
Dr also said he reckons its a blood flow problem, he said the placenta takes over between 7 and 8wks, I never knew this, i have read various things on the net, they all say different as to when it takes over, but the dr said, 4D scans have detected placentas working and yolk sacs shrunk at 7-8wks gestation.
My losses are at 8 and 10wks, So he is sending me for a 4d blood flow scan to check the flow in my womb, He also said for me to have a hystrocoscopy because my linining is never over 8mm. I had a scan at the hospital while i was there, all was well and my lining was 7.5mm on cd21 so its thinner than most peoples, although he did say conception can happen with a lining from 6.6mm, its still classed as thin to me and he agrees.
He said this hystrocoscopy he wants done, Is because i have had soo many d&c evacuations, 13x, and it could of left scaring, so he needs to know its ok so he knows what to do if its not. He is really positive and said to me you will have a baby i am gonna make sure of that. Your baby will be on that wall, and he pointed to a wall full of thank you cards and babys pictures.
He said no loss is bad luck, there is always a reason for everything. He has wrote a treatment plan, which requires, intralipids infusion, x2 when ttc, steriods, clexane, utrageston, estrogen, Asprin only when ttc but need to stop the asprin when pg.
I am also to take, thyroxine and some other thyroid med, this is all while ttc not just when pregnant, oh and he said depending on my 4D blood flow scan, they will add viagra if needs be. I said to my hubby, thats it, if they put me on that, i will be humping ya leg like a dog in public ...PMSL.
The dr said that he would not say he could fix me if he couldnt, I have never had a doctor say that to me, and i have seen many doctors over the years. I am really pleased and feel really positive, but we will just have to see if it does work, wont we.
So i am back to nottingham for a 4d pelvic study blood flow scan on the 29th november.
Hoping to have the hystrocoscopy before christmas. So i wont be ttc till prob jan by the looks of it, not sure yet! all depends on when i have this op,
He said to me, he does not know how i have kept it together after all these losses. I said it was determination, which it is, you got to fight for what you want, you cant just give up, no matter how hard it is, you got to be strong, had i of give up a long time ago, i would of never seen this doctor and would of always wondered " What if "
The doctor i seen has been on tv and there is newspaper articles on the net, saying he is like some kind of guardian angel
They call him magic ? and his marvellous medicine, Lets hope its marvellous for me hey.
