Well now Andrea has had beautiful Jorja I thought I'd take her seat on PAL (while it's still warm).

I'm excited to say I'm pregnant with Baby D due to arrive at the start of April (if everything goes well). It's been a nervous time so far but I feel quite confident at present. I have a great consultant. I saw her first when I was 4 + 2 and am having weekly scans and swabs. The second swab came back showing group b strep and I was immediately started on antibiotics. The day the consultant phoned me with the result was the most stressful of the pregnancy so far. There is a possibility that group b strep may be responsible for me having so many previous miscarriages (theres a lot of current research on a link between group b strep and recurrent mc) and a cause of my waters breaking with Hannah. We will never know for sure but at least we are now aware that I carry group b strep we hope it can be managed with antibiotics (hopefully). I will be given them each time a swab shows group b strep.

So that's all for now. I just wish the next months would fly past.

About time you took your place on here my bump buddy!!:-)

Fingers crossed that all goes well. The swabs will help, my consultant swabbed regularly as he figures that anything can set off prem labour when there is case of an infection. Hope you will have a looong and boring pregnancy ahead of you.

Thanks girls. Your messages are lovely. I know I have such great support in this pregnancy.

I got really stressed this week before my appointment. On Tuesday evening I realised I no longer had any morning sickness and indeed didn't feel pregnant in any way. I brushed and brushed my teeth knowing that would normally cause me to wretch but nothing. I didn't sleep at all on Tuesday night worrying and Andrew got very little because I tossed and turned so much. By the time we got to the hospital for our appointment I was convinced it was all over. We see the same midwife each week for the scan and she is such a lovely person. She got on with the scan immediately she heard my concerns and very quickly turned the screen towards us to show us the healthy heartbeat! The baby had grown well and everything looked v healthy.

I am on daily high does progesterone which I think is making the normal pregnancy symptoms hard to read!

This pregnancy (so far) has been problem free. I know I had the group b strep result but other than that it has been text book. In every other pregnancy I have had (and I'm up to number 10 now!!) I have had spotting or bleeding by this stage. Maybe just maybe the progesterone is doing its job?

Our appointment next week is on Tuesday because Andrew can't do our normal Wednesday so at least its a day less until we get to see the baby again.

Thanks again for the good wishes.

Here's to Tuesday hurrying up!!

I'm so pleased to hear that everything is text book so far. I can only dream/imagine how PAL feels but I think the worry is immense! We are all here for you Jen (and Andrew) xxxx
