Does anyone feel really guilty if they get annoyed with their little ones? I ahve to admit that my patience sometimes runs out and I snap at my little boy but then feel so guilty because I feel like I should just be grateful that he is here and I should just put up with it and let him do whatever he wants gbecause I haven't got Sophie but sometimes things just get on top of me. I don't scream at him or anything but do get snappy with him and then he gets his sad face on and I feel even worse. Is it just me or is anyone else like this?

I am also like this and i know its not fair on them but they do say that u take things out on the ones closest to u. I'm sure in his own little way ur little boy knows u dont mean it and u still love him to bits, kids are a lot more wise to things than we realise and i dont think we give them enough credit for it. (if that made any sense)

Thanks Sarah good (not the right word) to know that I am not the only one who gets like this. Little man is only 18months and we lost Sophie before we had him so don't think he knows why mummy gets upset sometimes and gets angry bless him. He's such a gorgeous little boy and so good most of the time. He's never really naughty just pushes his luck to see what he can get away with like most little boys! Just if I'm having a bad day it just gets to me if I have to tell him no over and over again and even distracting him doesn't work and so I end up snapping and thn feel rubbish!
Kim - I said to my little man that it's about time he started listening when I say no! He's 18months for petes sake!!!!!
I hope it's normal too because if not I need help!

No matter how good a mother you are, kids will ALWAYS try your patience,
Its nufin to feel guilty about, As long as they know they are loved it will do them no harm,
If you have to shout then shout, Then give them a big kiss and squeeze, They will thank you for it when they are older, No child should get away with everything!!!

Thanks Mel - I do try to always give him a kiss and hug and say sorry when I've snapped but still feel rubbish especially when he's tired and plays up and I snap cos then he gets big fat tears rolling down his cheeks and that makes me sad too!!

Kids can turn the tears on at anything!!
Honestly Josh is 15 months and he knows just how to play me,
They are alot tougher than you think!!!
Listen to me I sound like a really strict mummy, I'm really not, But i do believe they need to learn there boundries quite early on, I dont believe in smaking a child and to me, to let a child get away with something for ages until they reach an age when you think it is 'unacceptable' and suddenly expect them to learn it is wrong, Is unfair, better off teaching them from the outset so you arent trying to 'change' them when they get older!!!!

Mel I completely agree with you and children should be set boundaries from a young age and I do most of the time with my little man and can keep my cool with him but sometimes it's just so hard dealing witheverything and then when I snap dp looks at me like I'm the worst mum in the world.

YOU DONT NEED TO FEEL GUILTY!!!!!!!!!!!
You are just like every other woman out there!! We all lose it sometimes, but as long as the child is in a loving and supporting environment they will grow up all the better for it!!!!!!
Stop feeling guilty or i wil come sort the 3 of you out!!
